Sadly, the world is not as uniformly organized as some here would like to believe. A simple web search of the DDLG age brackets shows just how open to interpretation each age group/role is. At the end of the day, what really matters is that the partners involved are satisfied that they have a dynamic/relationship that works for them. Whether or not they follow or don’t follow labels should be a secondary, or even tertiary, priority compared to being on the same wavelength. Clear communication can bypass labels and help to lay a solid foundation.

I would say it depends on the situation. For DDLG-based relationships, yes. For the non-DDLG aspects of the lifestyle it’s not as cut-and-dried.

Even though I’m brand new here, I would just like to say thank you for listening to your user base, even if you are not able to implement any noticeable changes immediately. I have seen too many places where admins don’t even care about what the users say or think, so this is a refreshing change. I know admins are often overlooked and under appreciated, so I wanted to toss a little gratitude in your direction. Keep up the good work. 🙂

This is one example of what happens when electronics become the babysitters. Please understand, gummy, I’m not blaming you. I suspect you were mostly left to your own devices (in more than one sense). Young people tend to be incredibly curious. Unfortunately many parents are more attentive to their own lives - either by desire or necessity - than in remaining engaged with their young and helping to keep them on a good path for the future. Hope you find the right person for you. 🙂
