Do you think vulnerability brings people closer or pushes them away?

It SHOULD bring people closer, but a lot of times it seems that eventually it pushes people away.

I know that being too open is also something that pushes people away too, buuuut *shrugs* I've never been one to hide who I am, and I know someday that my integrity and being honest to a fault, will be refreshing for the right girl.

But as for being vulnerable, I do believe that people have an aversion to true vulnerability, because it means they have to be willing to talk about difficult things, and sometimes, people just decide that the path of least resistance is better in the long run... (even though that usually just means the foundation of a relationship is built on weak supports.)
