Do you think online connections can become just as meaningful as real life ones Why or why not?

Yes, but nothing beats the touch of a loved one.
With that said, pen pals have been around forever with long and meaningful relationships.

Is it as “meaningful” as real life probably depends on the individual.
But that doesn’t take away from being able to make a strong connection online.

Online can be meaningful, but in today's world, you have no idea who you are really talking to. It's great to get to know some things about someone. We can be anybody we want to be online. It's when you want more that you find the truth.

To some extent the same holds true for in-person interactions as well. Rather than committing wholeheartedly to one approach or the other, online *can* be a good place to start before moving to in person - if one is careful.

On the flip side, online can be a good way to continue a relationship that began in person if distance - or other factors - would otherwise make regular interactions a major hurdle.
