  1. Sometimes I genuinely wonder… why am I not enough?

Why do I always feel like I have to try harder, give more, be better, or prove my worth just to feel like I matter?

I know I shouldn’t measure my value by how others treat me, but some days it’s hard not to. It’s hard when you give your all and still feel like it wasn’t enough.

Maybe the hardest part is realizing that I keep asking myself what’s wrong with me, when maybe I was never the problem.

Maybe I just need to stop trying to become enough for people who were never capable of seeing my worth.

      Why indeed?

Maybe the question should indeed be, why am I not be valued?

Perhaps, while you give your all, they do not see or appreciate just what or who you are.

I've experienced this in previous relationships, and eventually came to realise that it wasn't worth the waste of time and energy to please someone who can't be pleased, or to give so much to someone who's incapable of seeing it.

So, please. Stop asking why you aren't enough, or why you feel you have to try so hard to 'prove' yourself.

Try letting these others prove themselves to you for a change. Because, if they're worthy then you'll see that and feel it, and they too will be ready to see just what you bring to a relationship.

Stop seeking their approval and value your own much more. Raise your sights, no longer hoping for one who is willing to have you, but one who you're willing to accept.

You said it all in your last sentence:

"Maybe I just need to stop trying to become enough for people who were never capable of seeing my worth"
